Doses of the Kovishield vaccine are being sent in special freezers via trucks and aircraft from the Serum Institute of India, Pune.
This morning, three container trucks were called from the Serum Institute to take the box of covisiled vaccine to Pune airport. In these trucks, the vaccine was transported to Pune airport with a temperature of three degrees, from where a total of 8 flights will take the Kovishield vaccine to 13 different places.
The first flight left for Delhi Airport at 8.11 am. The vaccine will be sent from Delhi to different parts of the country.
In the coming few days, Kovishield vaccine will be supplied in Gujarat, MP and Haryana through 5 more container trucks. It is being told that 300 container trucks equipped with GPS facility have been installed in this work. 500 more trucks will be used if needed.
