In the time of rising prices of petrol and diesel, if there is even a small saving on fuel, who does not like it? Keeping this in mind, State Bank of India has introduced a new co-branded RuPay Debit Card in association with the Indian Oil Corporation.
The country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI), in association with fuel company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), has introduced a co-branded RuPay card. Every time you buy fuel of Rs 200 from this card at Indian Oil’s petrol pumps, the customer will get six times the reward points.
Contactless Debit Card This card will be a contactless debit card. This means customers will be able to pay with this card without swiping. As per RBI rules, customers will be able to pay up to Rs 5,000 by tapping on the POS machine.
Not only this, the customer will also get 0.75 percent loyalty points on every purchase of petrol-diesel etc. from Indian Oil pumps. There is no monthly limit for the purchase of fuel from this card.
This means that the more the customer pays for petrol-diesel with this card at Indian Oil’s petrol pump, the more reward points and loyalty points they will get.
Reward Points on Restaurant Payments too Apart from this, there will be reward points for eating food in restaurants, buying groceries, watching movies in theaters and paying bills with the card. Customers can use the reward points earned on the card to pay for grocery stores, restaurants, cinema tickets and bills.
Indian Oil is the largest fuel distributor company in the country. The company has more than 30,000 petrol pumps across the country. SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara said, “SBI-Indian Oil Contactless RuPay Debit Card has been introduced through its strategic partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited”.
