Former Australia Test opener Colin McDonald died at the age of 92. Australia’s 191st Test cricketer McDonald played 47 Test matches for the country. He was counted among Australia’s great openers.

Macdonald made his Test debut with Richie Benyo and George Thomas at the Gabba in 152 against the West Indies

He scored 3,107 Test runs at an average of 39.32, including five centuries.

Cricket Australia (CA) chairman Irl Eddings said in a statement, “Colin will always be counted as the greatest player of Victoria and Australian cricket.”
